Welcome to Balby Children’s Centre!
Balby Children’s Centre is run by the children’s charity Action for Children and offers a range of services for children from birth to 13 years and their families. These range from bumps and babies, for pregnant women and those with tiny babies, through groups for children of all ages, to courses for adults.
We have a regular timetable of groups during term time, which changes during school holidays to incorporate play schemes, trips and family events. Click here for details.
We can offer individual support to any family when needed and we work with all agencies offering services to families in the Balby area.
We welcome any suggestions for activities and events, please see below for opening times and click on the links for information on specific services.

Centre Statement
Everyone who uses the Centre should be treated with equal respect regardless of their beliefs, race, culture and abilities.
We also believe that everyone who uses the Centre should feel safe, comfortable and able to express their opinions and views without feeling intimidated, criticised or threatened.
It is also our belief that rough handling and smacking children is harmful to them and if this occurs we would want to talk to you about the different ways of managing your children’s behaviour.
We want to create an open atmosphere and therefore feel that bad language is not appropriate and it will be strongly discouraged.
The staff of the Children’s Centre are committed to developing a quality service, which meets the needs of this community. We would welcome any comments or suggestions you may have.
