Balby West Tenants and Residents Association
We are an Association to help tenants and residents alike to bring together a community spirit and social standings into play.
We have meetings with all kinds of people and organisations such as Councillors, police, disabled groups, estate walkers, and council officers.
These meetings are there for you to attend and have a say or ask questions, to help you and your neighbours to have a better safer environment to live in.
On the social side we hold events such as coffee mornings every Thursday from 9am till 12pm - all are welcome as well as children. We play a few games of bingo too if you wish to stay. Also on Thursday mornings from 10am till 11am we have a council inspector to take any inquiries, give advice, help you in general with repair issues or any thing that concerns you or your estate. From 9am to 10 am on Thursday we run a Credit union to help you save money or give loans to try and cut out loan sharks and avoid you paying too high an interest, for example on a £500 loan the interest would only be £28 pounds - a vast difference to other companies like provident etc. If you wish to know more about the credit union please drop in.
We run a bingo three days a week starting at 6pm until 9pm these take place on Thursdays, Saturday and Mondays. You do not have to be a member to join but if you do there are many benefits such as trips, parties etc also if you are a member you can win the snowball. You are still welcome whether you become a member or not.
We also hire out our two big community rooms for meetings, parties, and training courses.
