Children's Centres
Children’s Centre’s are a Government led programme designed to give every child the best start in life. The aim is to do this by delivering services pro-actively in an integrated way.
We currently have 22 Children’s Centres within Doncaster. Each Centre provides different activities to meet the needs of the local community. Services include Family Support, Health Services, Adult Education and Training, Social Care Services, Childcare and Toy Libraries plus many more for all families in their geographical area.

Jobcentre Plus
The Children's Centres promote Jobcentre Plus services by encouraging parent customers to get in touch with the Jobcentre to speak to a personal adviser. Parents are informed that we can help with: a 'Better Off in Work' calculation, advice on childcare and help with childcare costs, getting advice on writing a CV, apaplying for jobs and preparing for an interview, findingtraining to develop new skills, and applying for in-work benefits, such as Tax Credits and help towards paying housing costs when they return to work.
