Doncaster Families Information Service Produces Annual Report- 2012-2013![]()
As part of our ongoing development, the FIS is to produce an annual report each year which shows the full range of work undertaken to support Families, Children, Young People and People Who Work with Families in Doncaster.
The report presents information such as the types of enquiries we receive, the usage of our website www.doncasterchildrenandfamilies.info and Facebook pages, our programme of marketing as well as the plans we have for the coming year.
Please take a few minutes to have a look at the great work undertaken by the service which continues to support families in their parenting role as well as assisting families back into work and education by supporting families to access childcare.

The Schools Directory contains the contact details for all Doncaster schools, children’s services and school support services. The Directory is available to download below.

Universal Credit Partner Toolkit ![]()
A new Universal Credit Partner Toolkit is now available on the Department for Work and Pensions website. The toolkit has been created to help organisations understand how Universal Credit will impact upon claimants and is primarily for use by partner organisations when they talk to claimants about Universal Credit.

Government consultation on proposed changes to the role of the local authority in early education and childcare
On Monday 25th March the Government launched a six week consultation exercise setting out proposals for a changed role for local authorities in the delivery of funded early education for two, three and four-year-olds.
This consultation opened on Monday 25 March and will close on Monday 6 May 2013.
The Government’s proposals are set out in the document ‘Consultation on proposed changes to the role of the local authority in early education and childcare’ which can be accessed via the internet here.
All those who are interested in contributing to the consultation can do so using the Department’s e-consultation website. You can respond electronically on the site using the response form, or print off a copy and send it to the responsible team. All of the details can be found on the website, which can be accessed using the following link http://www.education.gov.uk/consultations.
